Merry Christmas!

Christmas came early in 2M today! We did such an amazing job at the Christmas concert yesterday that we celebrated with a party! Students opened their letters from Santa, opened some gifts from Miss Rud and myself, pigged out on some goodies and played with some toys. Big thanks to Aaron, Adrien, Julian, Xavier, Brady and Dakota for supplying the snacks! Great time had by all!

Have a very safe and enjoyable Christmas!

Amazing Participation in Home Reading!

On Friday we celebrated our Home Reading success with a movie and some snacks. The Home Reading Party was well deserved for everyone in our class, as everyone was able to attend! Everyone in  our class was able to participate because they didn't miss more than 3 days of Home Reading in the month, great job 2M!

There were 15 out of 21 students in our class who didn't miss one day of Home Reading, they are pictured above. Congratulations to Dakota, Kolby, Kaiden, Aaron, Adrien, Xavier, Arianna, Kylie, Olivia, Mandy, Colby, Madison, Carleigh, Greg and Russell.

Parent Teacher Conferences!

A huge thank you to all of the parents who braved the storm and came to Parent Teacher. I know the kids really enjoyed sharing their work and it was great to have a chance to speak to you in person, as I don't normally have that opportunity. Also a huge thank to the grade 2's for their great work on their portfolios!

Students worked hard picking work to put in their portfolios as well as reflecting on it.
We have a target that they rate where their work belongs on the target. A Bulls-Eye means that it is their best work, an Almost There means that they are close to a Bulls-Eye (one thing that they would change) and a Needs Work means that they would change a couple of things in order to make it a Bulls-Eye.

Students did a great job of showing off their work and their classroom.

Happy Halloween!

I hope that everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween! Our afternoon started with the early years parade of costumes around the school. Then we came back to our classroom where we played some Halloween games.

After recess we took a trip through the Haunted House, and came back for some delicious snacks and some videos. Thank you to all the parents who provided snacks, and all of the kids for a wonderful Halloween!

Please check out the tabs at the top in order to see what we are doing in each subject. All the internet links from the previous website are in the tab internet links, but you have to click on the words beside and not the pictures.
