Amazing Participation in Home Reading!

On Friday we celebrated our Home Reading success with a movie and some snacks. The Home Reading Party was well deserved for everyone in our class, as everyone was able to attend! Everyone in  our class was able to participate because they didn't miss more than 3 days of Home Reading in the month, great job 2M!

There were 15 out of 21 students in our class who didn't miss one day of Home Reading, they are pictured above. Congratulations to Dakota, Kolby, Kaiden, Aaron, Adrien, Xavier, Arianna, Kylie, Olivia, Mandy, Colby, Madison, Carleigh, Greg and Russell.

Parent Teacher Conferences!

A huge thank you to all of the parents who braved the storm and came to Parent Teacher. I know the kids really enjoyed sharing their work and it was great to have a chance to speak to you in person, as I don't normally have that opportunity. Also a huge thank to the grade 2's for their great work on their portfolios!

Students worked hard picking work to put in their portfolios as well as reflecting on it.
We have a target that they rate where their work belongs on the target. A Bulls-Eye means that it is their best work, an Almost There means that they are close to a Bulls-Eye (one thing that they would change) and a Needs Work means that they would change a couple of things in order to make it a Bulls-Eye.

Students did a great job of showing off their work and their classroom.
